California Chardonnay

Straw color with stone fruit aromas. Some apple and pear flavors with nutty floral spice tones. A bit acidic a little out of balance with medium finish. Inexpensive wine, good for an outdoor BBQ. Tasting Sample.

Golden in color with a green hue.

Oaky nose with citrus, lemons, green apples, wood, vanilla, smoke, spices and white pepper.

Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, pears, bitter herbs, spices, wood, vanilla and white pepper.

Short spicy finish with bitter almonds.

This is a drinkable Chardonnay from California. Better with food than just by itself. A little bitter on the ending, oaky and fake tasting. Not my style.

I paired it with grilled mahi and grilled vegetables.

sweet n buttery

Yawn. Innocuous and ordinary. And not integrated at all. An odd sweetness that cuts the edge off. And then an alcohol taste comes through the end that reminds me of having a recently sterilized thermometer under my tongue as a kid. But I have to include this for completeness.

Not too oaky. Enjoyed on the Amtrak down to San Diego!

Good cheap white!

Very pleasant, really good with sweet southern barbecue lays, or spicy food in general! Gentle and goes with a lot of food.
