Sour mashed red berries, rose hip, bruyère, dirt, light funk; mellow medium body, vivid, vibrant, rounded up at this age (2014 on 01/06/18). Juicy pulp, some flesh, linear and bright. Half moon weight.

Too young. Bell pepper as expected, but far to greenish and earthy. Dry and acid palate. Would deserve more time in the cellar. Fortunately, it's only the first bottle I took from the 6-pack.

This was coravined and left for a month. On the nose, vegetal and meaty. In the mouth, earthy and vegetal, leather and black cherries. Bloody. Medium-long finish. No real change from the last time with the same bottle.

A cooler vintage with the green pepper & iron more pronounced, the fruit more hidden. Drinking beautifully none the less, esp. with food.

Just a kick ass cab franc. Amirault is a very predictable producer and have enjoyed all his wines so far. For the price, it's also a great value - ripe fruit, bit of flint, smoke, and moss, moderate tannins. This has become an everyday excellent dinner wine.
