Catching up from a few days ago — Work travel - when they hand me the wine list. My effort at being reasonable. Everyone cheered this selection. The little things….
2019 Les Quarterons is a Cab Franc from the Loire region. They had this selection in the Rhône section, but was very un-Rhône like. Almost Oregon Pinot style. Paired really well with my Duck Cassoulet. — 2 years ago
Delicious Musar Rose from a young vintage. Complex flavors that really opened up with the decanting recommended by Yannick Benjamin. Great combination with the spice and textures of the Peruvian food at Contento. — 4 years ago
Vintage 2021 | Só true to type cab franc with playful raspberries, tight tannins with nice bitters, great future | paired with tagliatelle oyster mushrooms, peppers and garlic, a Sardinian recipe we have been making for more than 30 years and a family favorite — 2 months ago
Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff! — 2 years ago
A very nice BdB made in an oxidative style - ripe yellow & red apples, bruised apples, subtle shortbread & brioche, a hint of fresh hazelnuts. Rich, evolved, so nice.
Very fine mousse on the palate, persistent bubbles, beautifully balanced with just a touch of residual sugar adding a nice creaminess on the palate.
This is truly a nice sipping bubbly. — 3 years ago
Unique treat. Not every day drinking, but really nice. — 9 months ago
Searsons, first St Nicolas de B for awhile, cracking cabernet franc, all the usual characters love it. — 10 months ago
With Yannick. Yay! — 3 years ago
Rich floral summer bouquet on a hot sunny day, tart mealy apples, pears, honeysuckle palate with a lightly prickly finish that has a touch of leathery earth. Really elegant and pretty wine ☀️ — 4 years ago

A wonderful Mount Veeder Cab that has aged elegantly.
The nose shows blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum laced with savory notes of cedar, tobacco and dried herbs. The palate is concentrated yet vibrant with silky tannins has firm grip, finishing long with hints of cocoa and espresso.
Restrained power and finesse, Yannick brought both Veeder’s rugged characters and French precision. Last bottle. — 16 days ago
