L'Amarybelle Saint-Joseph Syrah

The right amount of brett.

Leather. Black fruit, cassis. Nice Brett. Earth.

Needs an hour decant before showing...notes of blackberry, cassis, smoked meats, bacon and cracked pepper

Seemed closed but behind the stubbornness there was a nice med bodied syrah that had a touch of everything from aromas, flavor, and structure. Very mineral, pronounced acid, and lovely energetic texture. Grip, yes, but in a very nonchalant way.

Very pure and balanced. Good idea to decant as it opens up by the last sip!

Textbook Northern Syrah. Violets cherries and schist (no rotundone). Would drink this everyday.
