This took an hour in the decanter to wake up. Then, very smoky, graphite-infused cassis fruit appeared in the nose, along with a hint of cigar box. Lots of flavor but not a corresponding amount of weight. Dark smoky minerally fruit coats the mouth, with a bit of grainy tannin (but not too much). Reasonably long finish. Comparable to a nice Crozes.

"Easter eve". Grabbed this straightforward Syrah, as I didn't know what else to pair with Mini Eggs! 😂

Very nice Syrah. Not a huge one- soft and with some fruit/ spice. This would go with a wide array of dishes and is lovely by itself. I was expected something much more muscular and extracted, and this was a pleasant surprise.

This was acceptable. Went well with Parmesan. On the nose it felt a bit closed down and hints of petrol, blackberry and cedar predominated. The palate was not complex. The acid was a touch out of balance for my preference. Definitely a good wine.
