Drink by date was 2015 on some boards, but this is doing fine. Around 90% Cab, 10% Merlot, and traces of 2-3 others. Decanted 3 hours. 15.2 ABV, but no alcohol burn, and very low tannins. Dark pit fruit, nicely paired with blackberry and a touch of strawberry. Wet dark rock and dried wood. I thought it was really nice, and went well with some bone in ribeyes. 9.3. — 7 years ago

File under "you get what you pay for". Screwtop, 12.5 ABV @ $13. None of the mineral dryness of a Chenin Blanc, and none of the lushness of a Viognier. Just tastes of grapefruit, like a cheap Sauvignon Blanc. A little peach popped up. Highly not recommended for any occasion - not even Summer porch guzzling. 7.5/7.7. — 7 years ago

Beautiful nose, deep color. 15.9 ABV! But no alcohol burn, and mid tannins. Bright, dark berries, tobacco and licorice. But not as layered as I am used to expecting from Alban. Really, I'd give this another 2-3 years in the bottle. I think it will shine then - less so now. — 7 years ago

I keep forgetting how much I love Ted Lemon's Chardonnays. No oak - crisp, minerally, citrus, light floral. Hint of lushness. 13.5 ABV is spot on. 9.3 — 7 years ago

I wasn't picking up on the French Oak that much. The saison is more on the Sour side, but not that over powering Sour where the taste and the nose is close to vinegar. A nice, light sweetness to the sour. Light light hops to it. 7.5 ABV, I'd buy it again. — 7 years ago

Grand Teton is SERIOUS about their product! Bottle date, OG 15.0 P (?) , 18 Lov (?), IBU 60, ABV 6% (got those!). Caramel, coffee, hops, chocolate. Oddly was really a hard, foamy pour. If you see some Grand Teton, go for it - although they do push the envelope a bit. Vivtor, ID. — 7 years ago

Another of Dave Phinney's NV blends. 14.5 ABV. Chocolate and cherry. Does not remind me of an OR Pinot. This and the Spain came up short. Even at $18 you can buy other Pinots that say "Oregon" better.
Anyone tried the Texas yet, or even find it anywhere? Haven't seen it, and the whole TX wine scene kind of intrigues me. 8.7

Light wine! Light in color, light in ABV (11.5!), light in flavors (in a good way). Red berry, chery, a hint of dirt, wild flowers. Save it for the summer - heck, chill it a bit even! OK, I love the stuff they are doing at Jolie Laide - not afraid to make a wine with this low an ABV. And love the labels, of course. 9.2 — 7 years ago

Nice surprise. Pax Mahle, I believe. Tart cherry, bright fresh strawberry, and a touch of leather and faintest hint of cola.
13.5 ABV, kind of peasanty, and would be great on the deck in the summer. 9.2

Ya know, not many quality vineyards are producing Zins any longer, but there does seem to be a movement back to them. Once again, thanks to my friends on Delectable for introducing me to Bedrock. 2016, 14.4 ABV. Lovely pepper and leather and minerals, along with blackberry and other dried dark fruits. Touch of tannin, appreciated. Won't knock your socks of, but a really nice wine overall, for a relaxing night with friends and pork chops. 9.2. — 7 years ago
