Beautiful Cabernet Franc, surprisingly mellow tannins, but still nice structure. Smooth and silky. Dense fruit. Very good. — 3 months ago
Enjoyed this bottle from our 2022 trip to Paso Robles. — 3 months ago
Elegant and mature, this Rhône style blend, leaning heavily on Syrah with Grenache and Terret Noir, shows raspberry, strawberry, black cherry, blackberry, grilled meat, forest floor and leather. It could use a bit more acidity to add to the vibrancy but otherwise the balance of fruit with velvety tannin is appealing. Very food friendly. — a month ago
Kiamie rules! Juicy and twiggy, great balance! — 3 months ago
Bold but still fruity with blackberry, oak, pepper, and a touch of bay leaf. Smooth but has good structure and paired very nicely with a marinated flank steak. — 3 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2015 “Soul of a Lion” pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of cassis, plum, purple flowers, Fresno chili, tobacco, leather, vanilla and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and silky. A fairly massive wine but there’s plenty of character to keep it unique and interesting. Drink now through 2035+ — a month ago
