First take: it’s a bit muddled and flabby….lacking crisp structure. It is young so I will test on day two. Day 2.5: impressively, air has brought this one to life! Clarity and articulation are now present. The character profile is still medium+ weighted fresh red/black cherry with a delicate green herby frame. What improved - the focus and clarity of the acidity. It broadened, thus mouthfeel improved. — 4 years ago
Gorgeous bottle of ruby red shades and intense aromatics featuring vanilla, spices, rose petals, and nuts. Quite complex. Great medium+ body and strong acidic structure but with a refined weight and balance, it’s not overpowering but has a lot of character. Really good lingering finish. — 8 months ago
Very smooth highly recommend — 2 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. Best on Day 1 and 2. The 2017 Inferno, Fiamme Antiche pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart fruit: Morello cherry, roses, espresso, leather, alpine herbs and granitic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Elegant and ever so lovely. Drink now through 2037. Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses
Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Good value Amarone from Costco. Pop and pour approachable. Not as dense as the best Amarone but has the nice clove spiciness, fig, and dried leaves slight tannins with a pleasant finish. Surprisingly there is a hint of ripe strawberry that is a softening agent. — 2 months ago
