Amazing flavour still for 9 year old red from Ontario — 5 years ago
Huge milk chocoalate to Cappuccino colored eruption of thickest froth dwindles, flattening to a lunar landscape. Dark chocolate and coffee elements initiate. Machinery. Roasted almond-in-shell, vanilla and hazelnut aromas. This stout will zap the tongue with malty coffee notes that feel like a 9 volt battery connection, then shimmer in bitter arabica, dried violet, valerian root, nutmeg, clove tinges of ginger. The whole almost suggests licorice, but the flavor isolates encourage soloism. Dark chocolate abates, revealing rich roasted coffee in a splendid finish. Launch into the darkest astral day with the breakfast for champion cosmonauts. — 5 years ago
Pine-lined pond and glass factory notes intermingle with spearmint, red plum, and blackberry-grape that injects itself into the forest and emerges black currant, while pulling all the aforementioned behind her. Natural and clean aromatics here with cinnamon the only oak influence. Smooth but dense opening, bringing dark chocolate, black Darjeeling, intense graphite behind cassis, mint-pencil, vanilla infused tobacco, burnt raisin, walnut, and black sesame. Liquid, astral beauty in a bottle. Magnificent. #cornerstonecellars #napavalley2012 #Napa #wine #cab #cabernetsauvignon #cabsauv4life #cawine #2012vintage — 6 years ago

Fascinating notes of spicy peppers, dill pickle, lime, salt, celery: sort of like a margarita and a Bloody Mary all by itself. — 3 years ago
A smattering of tan spots, like Queen Anne’s lace, appear, then slip into the murk. An alar Geist remains, like a smeared mirror. Dried cherries and black currants with ripe huckleberry, dried fig,
cherry tobacco and a touch of licorice, coffee and peeled poppy. Bitter chocolate and dried bing cherries tear an astral hole of arabic in the thick spring veil of dried violets and cloves with a decidedly burnt edge to the currant. Valerian tendencies abound. Dark ghosts that scribble runes through carbon paper. — 6 years ago
accidentally left open on counter 48 hrs plus….no stopper. This thing goes for miles and miles, deep, pungent, astral canyons and glazed smoke…hits the back of the tongue and then lacerates the soul. get what you can and lay it down and toss the key…await grandchildren. — 2 years ago
Absolutely friggin sublime. Tyler Chardonnays are often a little edgy and tightly coiled, with serious acid structure that can be kinda imposing, especially in youth. They bristle with energy and cut and are wont to leave even seasoned acid heads reaching for the Pepto at the end of the night. And I love that about them. Truly I do. But this wine has ascended to a higher astral plane. It has shed some of that puerile nervosite and in its place achieved total harmony. The nose is reserved at first, giving up notes of citrus zest, salt air, and pastry cream with a little coaxing. The palate is exquisitely balanced, with riper flavors of lemon meringue and subtle toast that positively coat the palate. It's not until the finish that the acid, minerality, and sheer phenolic weight of the wine finally intercede, and man do they stick with you. An absolute master class in American Chardonnay, with a long life still ahead of it. — 6 years ago
