This is 12.5% and it’s so good. So complete. That 2 years of age adds complexity. Still lean but that richness of 18 shows through. But Johannes Aufricht knows how to maintain tension and acidity in a warm vintage.

Nose is a bit richer than the 2020. Mineral and stanky. Huge and expansive. Framing oak. Fantastic acidity. Ripe and tangy and there’s some fruit but it’s more about place and iodine and stunning purity. Wow. — 2 years ago
