I don’t often beer it, and I’ve never actually logged a beer here, but this one called to me on St Paddy’s Day. It’s not Irish, but it is beer, and I still drank wine with dinner, but this delicious vanilla coconut chai spice of a refreshment was dessert! Like the perfect adult combination of root beer, cream soda and chai tea. — 4 years ago

Tilled, brown, earth-colored body with Irish cream colored crown. Hazy, slick lacing that runs fast. Malty, chocolate nose, with vanilla and cocoa beans, figs, cardamom, old mint, cherrywood and teak, brown fall leaves, and sweet cigar smoke. Rich, but not hot for 12.5 abv. The sheer hoppiness of the beast combined with the tartness of the cherry, is mysteriously keeping everything afloat. Dried cherry, cola, pepper, dark tobacco, thyme, oregano, vanilla mocha, dark chocolate covered candied grapefruit peel, Sixlets, French onion soup, hyper-carmelized. Staggering complexity here, and I’ve barely scratched the barrel. — 6 years ago

Remembering the family Ireland trip and reminiscing. Good times. This is more creamy than boozy. Nice flavor with hints of caramel. Listening to The Black Angels. — 9 days ago
