Savory delight - currants, garrigue, tannins. Developing but seemingly early stage even at 15 years. Gastronomic and a terrific pairing with regional foods (braised Toulouse sausages & beans). Perfect provenance for this library release from Fass Selections @Lyle Fass — 2 years ago
Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, coffee beans, earth and citrus peel. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, a lot of earthiness, coffee, anise, dark chocolate with a long finish. Tannins are still strong. — 4 years ago

Like the 15’, the 17’ is very accessible at this young age, opens with mesmerizing nose of black plum, blueberry jam, cedar, cinnamon, dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee beans, and hint of violet. Rich and dense on the palate but silky smooth. Graphite and light herbal notes add to the flavor. Excellent depth and balance. — 2 years ago
In the day these guys were Epic! I traded for this wine (Covid inspired) and on a particularly cold, blustery Chicago Saturday... we did big-ass burgers and left over Greek potatoes and green beans. Match made in Heaven! Haven’t seen a plastic cork in years... 16.1... Holy Shit! No sign of alcohol on the palate... did you get that? 16.1... no alcohol on the palate? Dark, rich, cloudy, chewy—classic black fruit, pencil lead, saddle-leather notes. Still alive and balanced. What a fun wine with food on a cold winter night. — 4 years ago
