Blend of about 50% Cab Sauv, with Merlot, Cab Franc & Petit Verdot, Deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruit aromas and herb notes. On the palate black raspberry and blackberry, currant-like, with tobacco, cacao and smoky oak notes. 2019 Ridge Lytton Springs is a classic California field blend. It is made up of 73% Zinfandel, 16% Petite Sirah, 9% Carignane, and 2% Mataro. The vineyard is located in Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. Dark red fruit on the nose with a bit of spice. Brambly intense fruit on the palate. Supple tannins. Really nice acidity and a lengthy finish. Drinks well now and will likely be even better in a few years. — a year ago

Tried 3 years ago, and it was a tannic bottle of disappointment, it's changed for the better.

2 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A splendid dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: dark fruit, cocoa, pencil shavings, floral, cigar box, menthol. Taste: soft, elegant wine with some black/red fruit, currants, crushed stone, and an earthy black tea lean medium finish. Not the depth and power of a great year, drinks well now...not sure how much more this will improve. — a month ago

Light golden color. Interesting aromas of lemon zest, apricot, honey and toasted nuts. More green apple and pear on the palate with additional notes of lemon/lime snd minerals. Crisp acidity and a pleasant creamy texture (neutral oak?). Crisp and clean. Solid food wine. Nice white wine choice, Keith S! Revisited in August 2024. Outstanding! Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2022 pours a pale coral color with a transparent core; medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with a refreshing mix of tart and ripe red fruits; strawberry, watermelon dry underbrush, red flowers, and wet stone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry; tannins are light with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and saline. Lovely texture. This continues to be a benchmark for rosé. 1 hour decant (decent chunky/fine sediment). A majestic dark purplish garnet with little signs of a aging. On the nose: big perfumed savory notes of sweet tobacco, potting soil, cedar, dark fruit, smoke, and vanilla. Taste: smooth, soft, velvety, balanced wine with dark plum, cedar, spice, bitter chocolate, tobacco, saline, and a nice long dry finish with some slightly grippy tannins....drinks well, and still time to go. — 2 years ago
