Really enjoyed this one. Little bit of acidic but an easy drinker. Some saline. Classic style i would expect with an albarino — 2 years ago

Pairs perfectly with seafood. Fantastic salinity balances with sulfuric notes from volcanic soil. — 8 years ago

Smakrikt -svartvinbärssylt, mörk choklad, plommon i madeira, kaffe, vanilj över en stöddig fastighet och syra. Bra till grillen ju. Prisvärt (121SEK). — 3 years ago
Drinking very nicely and I imagine will continue to do so for the next 5 years. Great earth, herbs, and fruit. — 7 years ago
Crazy wine, and probably the most welcome departure from the Syrah-Fest of January '19. I was expecting a wine with a tiny bit of fruit but mostly notes reminiscent of a cigarette being put out in it. Whoah Mama! If blindfolded, there is no way I would have guessed that this was 100% cabernet from Spain, and 40 year old cabernet from Spain at that! Still had a lot of Blackberry on the front, but also hints of black tea, rhubarb. Leather and tobacco in the middle into the Finish. But this one finishes with a lot of black youthful fruit that is reminiscent of a wine that may have 10 years of age on it. Completely and totally awed. — 8 years ago

🇪🇸 A tasteful muscadet from Spain. Full body, fruity and not too dry for this type of varietal. A strong apple 🍎 taste with a sweet finish from the Gewürztraminer blended with and smooth to the palate. I would certainly pair this one with Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo and greens as a side. 11.5% ABV. Enjoy! — 8 years ago
Another Catalunya blend. This one was a little more fruit expressive. Both on the nose and the palate. Seemed like more blue fruits but traces of red fruit snuck in there as well. Not as spicy as the previous blend I had as well. Over all a nice afternoon glass of wine. — 8 years ago

The Familia Torres are the largest owners of organic vineyards in all of Spain. I love when large producers make commitments like that. But I’ve long been a fan of Mas La Plana and this vintage is no exception.
Opened sometime prior to service. The 2018 pours a ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of cassis, tobacco, capsicum, purple flowers, dry organic earth, and a mix of dry herbs and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tanning and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Just awesome stuff. These are long-loved wines. Drink now with patience through 2048. — 3 days ago
