Good slightly oaky temp grapepoint — 6 years ago
Nose of oak, cedar, cigar box and dark fruit with barnyard funk. Tobacco, tart cherry, cranberry, blackberry and leather on the palate. The middle holds up beautifully, and the finish is long with ample acid and chewy tannins. Well balanced, broad and powerful, this 2001 Gran Reserva is hitting its stride. At $35 a bottle, this is an incredible wine. — 8 years ago

Earthy aroma, plum flavor, medium body. Nice on its own or with a meat and rice dish. — 6 months ago
Good sipping temp. Note that the bottle says 100% tempernillo (ie not a blend). — 5 years ago
Great! New Kurt wine. More expensive but really solid. Would get again. — 6 months ago

2015 well aged
Bit sour which is gold for me — 4 years ago
Place: Tenerife (Canary Island), Spain from Yconde-Daute-Isora appellation.

Vigneron: Envinate (Cuvee Viticole)
-
Grape: Listán Blanco; Vintage: 2017

Color: Deep gold to amber around the rim. Why is the color gold for a young wine? *** I don’t know, maybe skin contact, or oxidative wine making style? @brianmcclinticms @envinatewine
-
Nose: Not floral, not citrus, spices (cinnamon, fennel seeds)
🥂
Taste: Good structure, soft acidity throughout, sweet spice taste, interesting that it’s packing quite a bit of tannins for a white wine from mid-palate through long finish. — 6 years ago

Kurt wine we repeated and would get again. Solid and nice earthy choice. Very drinkable. A bit more expensive than usual from him but worth it. — 12 days ago
