Ramirez de la Piscina Rioja Tempranillo 2019

100% Tempranillo, deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, spices and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with vanilla, cacao and espresso notes. Firm approachable tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, spice and herb mineral character. Drink over next 5-6 years! — 3 months ago

Earthy aroma, plum flavor, medium body. Nice on its own or with a meat and rice dish. — 4 months ago

Ramirez de la Piscina Gran Reserva Rioja 2001

Nose of oak, cedar, cigar box and dark fruit with barnyard funk. Tobacco, tart cherry, cranberry, blackberry and leather on the palate. The middle holds up beautifully, and the finish is long with ample acid and chewy tannins. Well balanced, broad and powerful, this 2001 Gran Reserva is hitting its stride. At $35 a bottle, this is an incredible wine. — 7 years ago
