Ancient varietal native to what is now Bosnia. Dark ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of dark fruit, vanilla, violets and charred wood. Big flavors of black berry/currant/raspberry/plum with a touch of roasted nuts. Notes of minerals and rose petals on the long finish. Nicely balanced. Aging well. This is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s pricier bottles. But it is also a concrete example of the potential that this country has around the production of excellent wine. Full bodied; cherries, plums and blackberries. Drinks great right off the pop. This one gives Nuic’s Trnjak a run for its money to stand out as the country’s best quality red… — 3 years ago

@delectable: This wine is from Bosnia-Herzegovina, not Greece as your App notes. Another solid vintage of a wine produced from a native grape. Dark ruby color. Aromas of ripe red fruit, fresh figs and wet stones. Flavors of ripe plum, currant, pomegranate and cherry fruit. Hints of wild herbs and vanilla. Nice mineral note on the exceptionally long finish. Full bodied with very smooth tannins and excellent balance. Bold and ripe. Very interesting. — 6 months ago
100% Tamjanika. A white grape that is native to the country of Herzegovina. Nice straw color. Aromas of dried citrus fruit, lime zest and white flowers. Pallet notes peach, citrus fruit, green apple and fresh herbs. Nice mineral note on the finish. Bracing acidity and quite fresh tasting. Very easy to drink. — 3 years ago

— 3 years ago

High high QPR. Described as 80’s Napa red. 100% agree. Great story too. — a month ago
