Grapefruit, lemon, peach, apple and tropical fruit. Electric acidity and great minerality. — 6 months ago
Tried this again, 1st bottle was a dud! Made by Michele d'Aprix, an American woman who studied organic chemistry in college and ended up in Bordeaux. Chemical equation on the label is the equation for calcareous clay soil in the right bank of Bordeaux giving a unique character. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits and notes of cedar and spice. Palate shows flavors of blackberry & cherry with tobacco and pepper spice. Drying tannins, medium+ finish, nice balance ending with earthy herbs & black pepper notes. — 4 years ago
Tastes amazing like smooth juice - I could drink this by the bucket. Amazing 2008 wine — 5 years ago

One of our special stops in Maipo, Chile.
The day we visited, they had just received & were using their basic bottle labeling machine. They were elated to no longer have to do it by hand. 2018.
49% Carmenere, 42.5% Cabernet & 8.5% Syrah.
Picture of Sofia in Nefertiti’s Tomb. The top of Sofia’s bucket list.
The fruits are ripe and dryish; blackberries, black raspberries, black plum with big skin, plum pudding, darkest cherries & strawberries hues, creamy raspberries. Dark chocolate w/ fudge frosting, caramel, mocha, deep, dark spices w/ some palate heat, moist, forest floor with dry leaves, clove, nutmeg, soft cinnamon stick, vanillin, black tea, black licorice, dry river stone, moist, grey, volcanic clay, limestone & dry crushed rock minerals, dry top soil, some black pepper, dry tobacco & chewy leather, oak wood shavings, dry, withering & candied flowers, excellent, round acidity with a ruby, fresh, round, well; tensioned, balanced, knitted, smartly polished finish that lasts minutes.
Still has 10-15 years of good life ahead.
It was Bordeaux that first embraced Carmenere and the only Chateau that I know that still blends it is Clerc Milon…only about 2-3%. Chile champions Carmenere now.

This has been on my bucket list for a while, and we just got a few bottles in my area. I went in to this with high expectations and it totally delivered. One of the most complex wines I’ve had - there is just so much going on here. The nose on this just doesn’t stop evolving. Beautiful oxidation and so many distinct aromas that I’m not going to rattle them off. Texture, flavor, this has everything to offer for my palate. Need to hunt down an older bottle next time. For me, this lived up to the hype. — 4 years ago
Acidic but light, refreshing and clean for a red. Had at Middle Grounds Grill restaurant in Treasure Island, Florida with honey glazed salmon and garlic mashed potatoes, and it made for a perfect pairing. Would definitely enjoy again, and I recommend it to anyone who can't decide if they're in the mood for a red or white wine. Best of both worlds. — 6 months ago
Cherry, strawberry, raspberry, lemon and orange. Great acidity and balance. — 4 years ago
Delicious, medium finish, slightly acidic yet slightly buttery. Bright. Pairs well with nearly anything. Great for summer sipping. Paired nicely with souvlaki and tzatziki with lemon rice. — 4 years ago
