Because when your wife spends 8 hours making the best bolognese you’ve ever had, and California is burning, you gotta break out the good stuff. Leather and sandalwood and pine duff give way to dried cherries cedar and potpourri spices under a gauzy blanket of tannins. Still vibrant with acidity and wisps of dried flowers lingering in the finish. — 4 years ago
Great wine. The reviews from 2014 do not matter. Who drinks Barolo after five years. Wine is now complex, leather tobacco, great tannins and body. Pleasant long finish. Great wine! — 5 years ago

Color of dull ruby with shades of purple and brown on the rim, a bit cloudy. Nose of cocoa, spice, burning sensation in the nose, fermented cabbage, carbonated water, and a bit berries. Taste basically follows the nose with quite good tannins and slightly sweet, some tobacco leaves, and some bitter tangerine zest. Aftertaste is medium with some more sweet ripe grape and peppery note. A bit light yet on par. — 4 years ago

First rum I’ve ever liked, I’m 40 years old and whenever i drank rum I always gagged and felt the burning from the sins of a thousand years of hell burning inside my face, throat, and chess. This rum, however, felt like a hot cup of tea during a fall thunder storm. Perfection! — 4 years ago
