A few days ago we opened the 2018 Susana Balbo Signature Cabernet Sauvignon from Valle de Uco Mendoza. This is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.
On the nose we have black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, plum, green peppercorns, spice, cedar, chocolate and crushed gravel.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, spice green bell pepper, black pepper, minerality and earth.
This is a full bodied wine and has a clean fresh mouthfeel medium+ acidity and medium+crunchy tannins that has a nice long dark fruit spicy finish. Have a nice weekend and do something fun. Stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Had this at Beauty And Essex. Josh loved it. — 2 months ago
Light golden color. Aromas of white flowers, fresh herbs, wet stones and a faint amount of citrus fruit. Green melon, lychee, and those fresh herbs fill the palate. Minerals pleasantly dominate the finish. Creamy texture and lively acidity. So fresh! Outstanding QPR! Reminded me more of a high elevation crisp white from France or Italy. Wonderful surprise! Thanks for sharing this one, Kase! — 3 months ago
I’m not a fan of red wines, but this one was fabulous. It was given to me as a gift, and I had no hangover the next day, and it was very smooth. — a year ago
Light salmon color. Aromas of watermelon and red berries. Bold red berry and watermelon fruit flavors with a nice hint of spice. Touch of salinity on the finish. Nice texture (bit of heft) and a bit of tannin. Quite crisp and refreshing. Gulpable! Excellent QPR. Thanks for sharing, Kase! — 2 months ago
was served too cold, couldn’t get an accurate smell. drank this with Valentina who says she taken your classes she says hi! dark fruit taste, but not too bitter, smooth finish — 10 months ago
"Basque country overlaps with the Rioja appellation, and Diez-Caballero's 2014 Reserva embodies that unique culture's esthetic and gastronomic identity. Its aromatics leap from the glass in waves of blackberry and vanilla notes while dark cherry flavors and polished tannins extend through the satisfying finish" — 2 years ago

TJ. Absolutely delicious. Much lighter than expected. Fruit forward, lots of vanilla, a lil jammy, simple, easy to drink. A lil Smokey on the nose, Ben and Mere both really enjoyed! Would and will buy again. — 2 days ago
