wowwwww! unique wine in a very beautiful way. Dark chocolate cherries with a bit of saltiness and then bright acidity at the end. Tastes like if a perfect day was bottled. — 3 years ago

Hint of smoke….bitter(ish) fruit that works well…I enjoy the fact that this is a wine to drink at leisure. — 5 years ago

a reminder that leisure is deeply anti-capitalist and should be grasped at every opportunity. this might be our only hope. — 6 years ago
Tons of apricot in the nose. Palate moves to much more plum. Had an interesting sweetness to it, but overall still very sour. Excellent beer and can’t wait to see how it ages. — 6 years ago
To think, this is how the leisure class drinks every day. Restrained, sharp acid, amazing balance, subtle and resonating chalk, biscuit, lemon, etc. — 2 years ago
Correcting: Caleb Leisure’s “Obelus” red wine 2020. Medium body, savory, acidic, red berries and plums. — 4 years ago
Gets the job done. Smooth. Flavorful — 5 years ago
Glou glou. Tropical fruit, a little hot pepper spice, perfect chilled! — 6 years ago
Color of bloody grapefruit with ruby tone at the bottom of the glass. Nose of fermented cabbage, some strong alcohol, some chocolate, some aldehyde, and a bit stingy. Taste is quite sweet and zest, almost no tannins, and basically follows the note of the nose. Aftertaste shows some more warmth from alcohol. Not complex and straightforward. Good for daily leisure. — 6 years ago

Starts off with dark fruits and a little bit of funk in the nose. Blackberry/cherry, some pepper and tannin in the finish. Unexpectedly strong acidity. — 3 years ago

This is an interesting wine but initially surprisingly ungainly. Needs an hour to become what it is. And what It is is lovely.
Nose is freshly cut Grass on a mountain. Full on Julie Andrews in sound of music. The grass and the wild blackberries intermingle so well it’s almost like they are having Coitus.
Day 2 has some lovely mountain pine on the nose.
Palate is more if that fresh grass and wild berry fruit. Silky tanins. Brilliant freshness. Juicy.
This is a red wine that almost should be drunk like a white wine. It will work. And you will be super cool. Bravo for you.
Also a great change of pace for those suffering from ennui. The plague of the leisure class these days. Alas.
