Pale Garnet. A lot of deposit. Redfruit flavour (cherry, raspberry) with mushroom and earth. Medium high acidity. Medium body. Medium Long finish. Excellent — 6 years ago
Had this at a Tapas Bar. Located in the Garaff Masiff mountain range, So. of Barcelona, Carlos Esteva in 1979 took a dilapidated family estate, restore his grandfather's house in Penedes. Aged for 12 months in French oak with grapes from 30 year-old vines. A Mediterranean Bordeaux blend, dark almost purple with dark fruit, earth and spice. On the palate blackberry and tart cherry with pronounced earthy tones. Fine tannins, well balanced with elegant finish ending with mineral notes. Still had room to age! — 8 years ago
Catalan wine tasting #4
So juicy & fresh, with red fruit brilliance. Very piedmontese in character with a slightly fruitier edge.
Strawberries, raspberries, with a proper tannic, juicy grip. Fresh acidity.
Truly lovely. A v. pleasant discovery! — 3 years ago

Vintage 2006 | Carlos Esteva is passionate for Pomerol. He plants merlot in the Spanish Penedes region in 1981. Special wine that is aged in barrels for 12 months and rests in bottle for 16 years before release. Multi layered smell with milkchocolate, tobacco, licorice and clove. A very pronounced character with super long aftertaste. Potential, says my notes. — 4 months ago
