This pedigreed Sangiovese (the brown wine of Montalcino) is a wonderful entry to a blind tasting - people call it Cab, Merlot, Bordeaux blend, super-Tuscan, etc! It delivers so much depth of red and blue fruit flavor that it’s apt to be mistaken for a blend (if tasted blind). — 7 years ago
