Now this is interesting. Alice Feiring club wine and I love it - from Chile, Pais varietal@12% abv + 2018 = fab wine. 18 months until bottle time. Whole cluster, French oak for malo. Organic with minimal SO2 for those who care. — 4 years ago

I'm glad to share that the new shrine to Bacchus in town has managed to render the New Zealand piece "Sound of White" true to its source material. Truly refreshing in the midst of widespread blasphemy commited by countless so-called shrines in Malaysia, all due to their blatant disregard for the importance of temperature in keeping a piece pristine. Ah, the sweet chord of red pinot fruit, the decay centred around earthy notes, and of course the sharp element that sets the piece in place. I'm happy, despite the rather loud, discordant note of French oak that rang through the piece. Nevertheless, it does not deviate from the composer's intent, which was what mattered most to me on this occasion. — 3 years ago

Clear, pale lemon colour. Clean, pronounced aromas of gooseberry and tropical fruits. Palate is dry with high acidity. Light bodied with zingy, ripe passionfruit and citrus flavours. Short finish. A very good quality wine. — 5 years ago

Last night’s late decision to join the First Saturday share a bottle and food was a smart one. While there were a number of wines to taste, I only had time to try a few. My contribution was a garnacha from Catalina, Spain - the Familia Torres Grans Muralles. The 2016 Grans Muralles is a harmonious blend of garnacha, cariñena, and monastrell. Wishing I had more of that one because it was pretty spectacular.

Familia Torres is located in Conca de Barberà in the far northern inland sector of Tarragona and due west of Barcelona. The region is primarily known for Cabernet, the Torres family has been quietly planting indigenous grape varieties in the region.

Camping with my daughter on Catalina island. I grew up in Colorado so the silver bullet and the banquet beer were staples in my family home. Heck I hit on Pete Coors daughter in high school, she turned me down more times than the sheets at the holiday inn. Ahh sweet memories. Did you know Coors was heavy into ceramics?? Go check it out.
