Nice everyday wine from an older and less common grape. Better day 2. Aromatic with strawberries and candied cherries. Slightly tart on opening but smooth day 2. Raspberry, strawberry, clove and some mineral. Moderate finish. — 6 months ago
Amazing subtle black cherry, allspice and soft tannin — 10 months ago
Drinks like champagne without bubbles plus Italian beautiful tannins — a month ago
Rose pedals, tart tomatoes, red licorice, juniper, rosemary, strawberry, cranberry, clean, focused, and elegant. On the herbal side. Highly tannic but the tannins are already so fine. — 3 months ago
Medium deep ruby , garnet rim. Quite floral , touch of dark cherry, black tea , anis , menthol and mineral touches . On the palate darker fruit , dark cherry , blackberry, orange rind, Quite refreshing acidity , rounded but noticeable tannin . Long mineral finish . Elegant and refined , still young . Better still in 5 years and will hold well a further 8-10 — 8 months ago
Other ratings called this “closed” which I completely agree with. The dense flavors took forever to open up. I popped it at noon for a 7:30p dinner of chick pea and potato pasta, and it was still developing. Highly tannic, but so layered if you have the patience. Darker fruits, yet still some tart red cherry, lavender, rose petals, and ashy dryness. Complex, classic Barolo (from my limited experience). I’ll save my second bottle to see how it develops. — 2 months ago

Really fantastic Barolo! Paired it with a vodka sauce pasta dish and it showed well with and without the food. Would definitely revisit. — 8 days ago
