rich and complex , tobacco and berries great with cheese and great with beans and greens. — a month ago
Compared with Gazin. Quite gentle. Less earthy. Fruity. But robust is same. Good balanced to the last vintage tasted before. Ok to drink. Château Beychevelle 21 @, , 250716 — 4 months ago
Don’t think this is the right wine as the wine I tried was 100% Merlot. Immediately hit with a strong scent of black currant before my nose got close to the glass. Taste of dark cherries followed by blackberries followed by soft tannins. Leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste in n the mouth after a few minutes. A very nice wine for the price.

The 2014 Trotanoy has a more complex bouquet than the 2014 Gazin, with more Pomerol DNA in the mix, iron-tinged red berry fruit, black truffle and cedar. Fine delineation and quintessentially Pomerol. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and harmonious, soy-tinged black fruit with white pepper sprinkled over the finish. This has personality and class but needs time (comme d'habitude). One of the standouts in what is an inconsistent Pomerol vintage. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting. A refined bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant, and forest floor, accented by hints of violet and cedar. Beautifully proportioned medium-to-full body, offering a supple texture and finely woven tannins. Finely balanced.
This second wine of Gazin has grown since I tasted it 4 years ago but remains youthful. Need to try the grand vin. — 6 days ago
