Already very balanced although still young. Association of Power and Finesse The fruit is still marked with well-melted light notes of oak. Deep concentrated notes of smoked ham, primary peppery and violette notes. Classic style. Beautiful gourmandise that will gain in wisdom with several years of cellar. 😋

Déjà très équilibré bien qu’encore jeune. Association de la puissance à la finesse. Le fruit est encore marqué soutenu par des notes d’élevages déjà bien fondues. Beautiful Southern gourmandise. Grenache in front with its notes of black fruits, coffee, chocolate. Syrah brings its lot of pepper, violet, typical menthol, and Carignan, thyme and garrigue notes. The 14 degrees of alcohol are absolutely unfeeling. It’s very good, it’s very soft.

Belle gourmandise sudiste souple et soyeuse. Grenache devant avec ses notes fruits noirs, café, chocolat. La Syrah apporte son lot de poivre, violette, menthol typique, le Carignan, du thym, des notes garrigue. Les 14 degrés d’alcool ne sont absolument pas sentir. Ça se boit très bien. — 5 years ago

Ruby, Violin, translucent and vibrant color. Gilliard is a Swiss domain in Valais. Cuvée honoring the fruit. Seductive nose on the freshness of youthful Syrahs: violet, lupine, blueberry and mountain berries... with aeration, pepper imposes itself along the entire length of the palate carrying a loose body without looking like it. The acidity is lively and brings charm to this tasting. The winemaking is fine and controlled. Northern expression of the syrah full of nuances, with contained strength.

Gilliard est un domaine Suisse du Valais. Cuvée mettant le fruit à l’honneur. Nez séduisant sur la fraicheur des Syrah de jeunesse: violette, lupin, myrtille et baies des montages.. avec l’aération le poivre s’impose sur toute la longueur du palais portant
un corps ample sans en avoir l’air. L’acidité est vive et apporte du charme à cette dégustation. La vinification est fine et maîtrisée. Expression septentrionale de la syrah tout en nuances, avec une force contenue. — 4 years ago

Black fruit colour, garnet reflections, dense, beautiful brilliance. Open nose inviting on the aromas of syrah in its noblest expression: basket of crunchy red and black fruits, floral notes of violet, pepper, smoked bacon, animal notes, graphite, charcoal...
In the mouth the attack is fresh and fruity, the body develops in a straight and virile way. The final extends this masculine and spicy character, nuanced by voluptuous floral fragrances (viognier?) Drunk a bit too young at the sight of the beast's potential.

Robe fruits noirs, reflets grenat, dense, bel éclat. Nez ouvert invitant sur les arômes de la syrah dans son expression la plus noble: panier de fruits rouges et noirs croquants, notes florales de violette, poivre, lard fumé, notes animales, graphite, charbon..
En bouche l’attaque est fraîche et fruitée, le corps se développe de manière droite et viril. La finale prolonge ce caractère masculin et épicé, nuancé par des fragrances florales voluptueuses (viognier?) Bu un poil jeune aux vues du potentiel de la bête. — 3 years ago

Simple, light, but full of charm. Clear purple dress, beautiful shine. Nose typical of the cabernets-francs de Loire. Raspberry, geranium, violet, blackwood, green pepper (but not too much). The mouth is fresh and tense, with a beautiful mineral weft reminiscent of rifle stone, slate or chalk. Served at 15 degrees, it’s a nice treat.

Saumur simple, léger, mais plein de charme. Robe pourpre limpide, bel éclat. Nez typique des cabernets-francs de Loire. Framboise, géranium, violette, bois de ronce, poivron vert (mais pas trop). La bouche est fraîche et tendue, avec une belle trame minérale évoquant la pierre à fusil, ardoise ou craie. Servi à 15 degrés c’est une belle gourmandise. — 5 years ago

Always this exquisite balance between freshness / fruity (black: blueberries, blackberries) and the fleshy notes of well-crafted organic Syrah: menthol, liquorice, white pepper, tapenade. All enhanced with violet-type floral notes. One of the finest expressions of Croze, at less than € 20 (in France)

Autant de plaisir avec cette cuvée 2019! Toujours cet équilibre exquis entre fraîcheur/fruité (noirs: myrtilles, mûres) et les notes charnues de la Syrah bio bien travaillée: mentholées, réglisse, poivre blanc, tapenade.
