This is a beautiful 80/20 blend that I brought back from visit Montpelier. This was chosen for me at a shop to reflect the region I was visiting. While a bit simple and direct, the structure conveys the elegance and mouthfeel with clarity. A delightful blackberry & thyme waltz. — 2 years ago

This drinks like a well balanced oaked and slightly buttery Chard but with more complexity. Delightful! — 5 years ago

A deep expression of Cerasuolo di Vittoria from COS as this is their top CdV, the "Delle Fontane", of the 3 they make (Pithos and Classico).
At 6 years of age we have fresh, tart cherry, blood orange, tobacco, and herbs de Provence aromas and flavors.
As usual with top Sicilian wines we have an elegance that aligns with a deep persistence and depth, all the while fresh and in this case powerful acidity. Firm tannins show up on the palate in spades and integrate perfectly into the finish. — 8 years ago

Nicely aromatic & quite ethereal with ripe dark damson plum boosted by aniseed and fleur d’oranger. Some tart cherry, too. Sweet yet savoury with a mineral, dusty core underneath. Enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate, with firm, dusty, fine tannins, framing a nice core of dark cherry and bright super fresh acidity. A hint of wet earth, a hint of baking spice towards the finish.
This is drinking beautifully right now and hinting at something more complex than just a usual sip. All the elements come together, not seamlessly but with really interesting edges. .
A truly lovely & delicious wine. — 6 months ago
