Absolutely superb! Quite a different take on Cabernet Franc as it’s actually a blend of 50% Cab Franc and 50% Merlot. The result is a smooth! fruit forward blend without the usual slightly bitter earthy taste of a full cab franc. Definitely a food wine particularly grilled meats i.e., the delicious Tuscan pork chop for which we paired this delightful wine. A relative bargain for a Saint Emellion. — 3 years ago

Dark, glass staining color. Needed an hour to open up. Dark cherry, blackberry and lacy minerality line the nose. Almost chewy with broad tannins to start, which softens into a delicious blackberry pie finish. No significant excidence of oak. Drink with decant or hold for at least 5 more years. — 6 years ago
