Roussillon village level wines represent some of the best values anywhere. This one, from the Latour de France (1 of the 4 villages that are permitted to add their name to Côtes du Rhône Villages label), is an great example. Mostly Syrah for 2015.
Blackberry and raspberry sprinkled with dried spices and hint of violet. The palate is soft and warm with balancing acidity. Delicious long finish. — 9 months ago
