Tradition Cairanne Grenache Blend 2021

The description: A deep blackcurrant-red colour, with bright cherry highlights. A profusion of black fruit flavours and soft spices on the nose. A rich full-bodied palate, sustained by freshness and a certain mineral touch. A silky, velvety tannic finish to enhance the balance.
A wine for early drinking but can be cellared for 2 to 3 years.

The opinion: it’s very good. Well worth investing in a couple of bottles to drink over the next couple of years.

La Gerbaude Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

The description: Garnet red colour with sparkling cherry highlights. The nose is expressive, complex with dominant notes of red fruit that grows to the mouth. The palate is smooth, round with a good freshness. Supported by fine tannins and a velvety mouth with a lot of persistence and volume. A successful wine to enjoy without waiting.
The opinion: I find this wine consistently drinkable and a great reflection of the rhone region. I forgot to rate the 2021 vintage but the 2022 is lighter and fresher, mainly as a bit younger. Still a great wine. Enjoy. Looks to remain on my regular drinking list.

L'Estévenas Cairanne Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2020

The description:

A deep ruby-red hue with deep-purple highlights. A distinct touch of blackcurrant fills a rich and explosive nose. A soft palate showing sweetness. A touch of moka, chocolate, adds to the complexity. Well structured tannins enhance the body. Very well-balanced. For drinking now or can hold for 2 to 6.
The opinion:
I would add there is a liquorice note. This is a big wine and needs a big flavoured food dish with it.
