Beautiful French Cru. Went well with a variety of Uchi dishes. Super soft, relatively dark, fruity and again … soft finish — 7 months ago
Got this at Schumers as a substitute when I was looking for the Romane HCdN, same year….this is down the fairway for J, has that refinement/elegance, strong melon/pear on the nose - but not bold enough for me, though worked well with Peruvian spiced chicken — 2 years ago
Flash tasting; no formal notes. The 2020 Clos de Vougeot is deeper ruby than the 1er CdlP’s and even exhibits some light staining. Red fruited with cherry and strawberry. Some lavish use of oak. Hefty structure. Painfully young. Powerful-ish and needs time. This will be a little more fun to drink after 2030. — 2 years ago

We visited the vineyard many years ago. Its a walled garden, very beautiful. The wine is delicate and elegant, with hints of spices and flowers, complex, done in a classical way. Top notch stuff. 2016 is singing but there is really no rush. Deceivingly light :) buy if you find it. Its tiny quantities and its not crazily priced for such a confidential small vineyard. — 7 days ago
