Redwood Valley Valdiguié 2019

Tart cranberry and cherry flavors and racy acidity. There was also a sour, yeasty component on the back palate that was slightly redolent of sourdough bread. Interesting. Nonetheless an enjoyable bottle for all its funkiness. 100% Valdiguie. 7/4/22. — 3 years ago

Floral Terraces

North Folk of Long Island Teroldego Blend 2018

@delectable this is floral terraNes MX. blend of teroldego, lagrein and Syrah. It’s very delicious. Lots of blueberry. Very ripe blueberry. Some blackberry too. Fine tannins that coat the top of the mouth and tongue. Not super high acid but very ripe fruit flavor. There’s some roasted red pepper. Maybe a bit of celery salinity. Also some roasted brownness on the nose like coffee. Lavender and mint come out after air. I wish I had a bottle of this in five years. I imagine would become even meatier and smokier. Good stuff. One of my favorite wines from Long Island’s Floral Terranes. — 5 years ago

@Chris Shultz we made in 2017 and 2018. Not 2019. We made Merlot, Marquette, Riesling, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon all from Long Island as well as five different ciders from different sites.
