Mid Ruby in colour. Initial aromas of red and black fruits particularly raspberry and also whole bunch notes. Rich and sweet on the palate with plums and cherries finishing with smooth tannins. Fruit for this Pinot was sourced from the Coal Valley, East Coast and Channel sub-regions of Tasmania - the latter adding that richness like you see in Home Hill Estate. — 5 years ago
We picked this up at the Farm Shed in Bicheno, where we also learnt the wonderful story of its preparation. The Boomer Creek Rosé offers a well-balanced expression of the style, standing out with its harmonious structure. Its freshness and depth make it a strong example of a quality east coast Tasmanian Rosé. — a month ago
Very, very smooth with subtle oak flavours — 3 years ago
Our final lunch in Cairns last Sunday for the boys weekend away. A wonderful lunch at the Salt House on the Cairns waterfront. No formal notes. Pepik is the 2nd label of Josef Chromy from the East coast of Tasmania. Red fruits on nose and palate with a little white pepper. A good match with the superb seafood curry. — 3 years ago
The 2022 Apsley Gorge Pinot Noir stands out as a smooth, Burgundy-style wine with exceptional balance. Among the best Pinot Noirs we’ve tasted in Tasmania, it offers impressive depth and elegance. — a month ago
Nutty, with some unripe white peach/green apple. Touch of malo balanced by healthy acidity. Burgundy-adjacent. — 4 years ago
