Nose: fresh leather. Intense pink roses.

Palate: so fresh. Intense and pure fresh cherries. Nebbiolo spice. Wow.

A magnificent bottle of inexpensive wine. So proud that I had a part in bringing this into our country.

2023 Les Granitiers Monterey County Chardonnay

This Chardonnay has nose! Delightful vanilla bean, white florals, and light herbals it's lightly reminiscent of Galliano.
Great acid, freshness, minerality. A real winner. Mr. Smith has done it again.

YES! Aged Verdicchio--holy hell I'm in heaven. Honeyed apricot, cocoa butter, candied tangerine zest, a bouquet of gardenia, apple blossom, and juniper, sweet menthol and Galliano-esque anise. The biggest treat is an invigorating secondary aroma of white truffle--which carries through to the palate. Rich, round and filling, with a prickly acidity & lots of Pink Lady apple/skin on the back palate. By far the most intriguing italian white I've ever had! — 10 years ago
