To The Power of 4 Glenrothes 12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

After a bit of work in the garage I decided on this one. Nice depth of flavor as demonstrated by the color on it. Enjoyed it — 4 months ago

The Glenrothes

18 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenrothes used to have a relatively unique labeling convention. They would mark the distillation date (vintage date). They did away with all that and adopted a more traditional age statement for their bottles. This was a crazy dark color after seeing 18 years in ex-sherry casks. Delicious honey, nuts, and dried fruits. Smooth. A pleasant “oiliness” though not to the extreme that the Craigellachie has. Long finish. Rich and delicious. Definitely worth seeking out. — 6 years ago

Douglas of Drumlanrig 11 Year

It’s interesting. Dark color and rich in flavor. Got a bit of raisin initially upon pouring. It has a full mouth feel with swishing and a decent finish. — 5 months ago

First Editions Glen Grant 23 Year Old Single Malt Scotch

Orange peel infused caramel, cinnamon apple, crumbly cedar, and a russet earthiness aromatically. Warm flash on entry, exhibiting golden apple drizzled with caramel, strong tobacco, pepper, a briny pineapple touch and a spruce nettle finish. Instantly put peach skin into my mind, but perhaps texturally more than flavor-wise, ginger and cedar spine, tinted with gunpowder tea. #scotch #glengrant #speyside #scotland #firsteditions — 8 years ago

Scott's Selection

Glenrothes Natural Cask Strength 1964

Greatest single grain I’ve personally sampled. Rich texture, glowing nose of complex citrus, brown sugar, bay and rosemary, lemon peel, and sweet tobacco. Unctuous mouthfeel over-delivers the purest scotch imaginable. Smooth with heat returning spasmically. Sherry in full effect, and depth of whiskey paramount. — 5 years ago
