This is the 2920 Southern Right Walker Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Hemel-En-Aarde Valley, Hermanus Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
On the nose there is beautiful fruit of grapefruit, lime, white peach, honeydew melon, herbaceous notes and minerality.
On the palate there are clean notes of lime, grapefruit, honeydew melon, white peach, cut grass, herbaceous and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with a racy mouthfeel medium + acidity that pushes through with a long grapefruit musky minerality finish. As another weekend is upon us and we brace ourselves for the coming Christmas week full of love, family and friends. Please have a great weekend and enjoy some nicw wines. Stay safe and healthy. Fantastic at eight years old! Vibrant dark/red fruit… a touch of thyme and a pinch of rosemary. Michael Shaps built this and you can tell. Fantastic attack (cherry sweetness) and the mid palate is just a tango of balance (slightly stewed fruit and herbs)…
Medium finish but delightful in staying inside the boundaries for what this wine is meant to do — 2 months ago
Oh yea baby. Smokey, fruited, well aged. Big but not obnoxious. Complex. — 6 months ago
Always suspect of ‘cute’ labels. But this is pretty tasty for an inexpensive Aussie Shiraz. Lots of fruit- strawberry- a bit of white pepper- light tannins- 14%. Would be a nice cook out wine. Hard to dislike. — 9 months ago

Just a wonderfully crafted & delicious VIRGINIA CS - at 7.5yrs old, the concentration and density were in stride. Richness without losing balance. well done, Michael.! Rich black cherry, dark chocolate, and thyme combine for a wonderful red meat companion — 7 months ago
