Henri Clerc

Château Clerc Milon

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Paul K
9.0

2 hours of air and drank over 5 hours. Great nose, somewhat muted. Graphite, violets, red currant, and red berry. Fruit was in the background and tannins were clay-ey. I stole this from another comment on another vintage but it fit too perfectly to not use. Was good but was expecting more. Will chalk up to a wine that should benefit from 5 more years. — 17 days ago

Domaine Grosbot-Barbara

S.A.S Prince Charles-Henri de Lobkowicz St. Pourçain Chardonnay Blend 2023

Still one of the great alt whites in the world.

N: swirling white and yellow flowers. Almost an echo of tropical fruit.

P: delicious. Clean. Balanced. Juicy. Liquid yellow flowers. Some crunch. Mountain steam. Amazing elegance.

9.5-9.6. Sick value at this price.

Les Carrières Chénas Gamay 2012

2012 vintage drunk late 2025. It holds up. Thirteen years old and still fresh and delicious. Sadly my last bottle. It will be missed. — 7 hours ago

Domaine Henri Boillot

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2021

Happy Twelve Days After My Birthday to me. I rarely see but always cherish wines from Henri Boillot. This Bourgogne outclasses the majority of village whites. Tastes and smells like a top quality Meursault to me, though I understand other villages contribute to the blend. Hazelnut, oatmeal, a little lemon oil, gorgeous fruit. Crisp in the mouth, with excellent buoyant acids and nice persistence. Yum. My rating might be a little generous because I’m happy to be drinking this! — 2 months ago

Les Fremiets Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

Opened up after a hour pulling cork. Very rustic as first, moving into a sold wine, but not classic Volnay silk — 16 days ago
