Very smooth for an orange wine, with finishing notes of berries and peaches — 4 years ago

Char-brown with uneven horizon, stacked cappuccino bouffant, that drops slowly to reveal spooky Spanish moss lacing. Smells like werewolf pee on dead wood. To be more friendly: mint mocha and pine sap on shiitakes. A coffee element shines sporadically. Additional mushrooms converge: morel and Reishi. Expansive, if just medium-heavy mouthfeel with coffee syrup, unsweetened bakers chocolate, Reishi coffee, beef Bourgogne scrapings in a grappa reduction. Nutmeg essence. — 5 years ago
Amazing wine from Canada. Unoaked Chardonnay. Has smooth, satisfying body and a hint of butterscotch in the mouth. Surprisingly, slightly reminiscent of a lightly oaked Chardonnay, but with nice acid as well. 2020 vintage, I believe. Representing Canadian wine very well. — 2 years ago
Aromas of struck match and smoke (or is it from the bushfires in the hinterland of the Gold Coast at the moment)? On the palate citrussy lime and lemon with a fuller texture of medium intensity. Personally I prefer the Applejack vineyard of the individual vineyards at Giant Steps for Chardonnay . Tarraford vineyard good for Syrah. — 5 years ago
