An oddly-named bottling. “Oakville Grade”? I suppose majority of the juicy from Oakville, but I could not find much information on this 15’ blend.
Gentle nose of red cherry, blueberry, black currant, creme de cassis, fresh herbs, and vanilla. The medium to full body feels weightless at times. Full of fresh sweet (a bit too sweet for me) cherries flavor. Silky, plush, almost feminine. Finely grained sweet tannins.
From magnum. This is still very primary, and will have a long life ahead. — 3 years ago
Out of magnum: Stunning and powerful. Poured it along side grand crus and precious other magnums. Every glass poured was met with dilated pupils. Prosciutto, unripe figs. A wine you can smell at distance. — 6 months ago
...highest rated best value for the money in my opinion. — 3 years ago
It was wonderfully smooth and worked very well with a pork butt dinner even though not a normal pairing. No bite and wonderful flavor balance. A definite repeat purchase. — 8 months ago
Roasted paprika, salmiac, drying tannins, figs, broth, cigar, sweet rhubarb, stewed pears, juniper. Printing, ink. Clay, blackberries. An old gentleman. — 3 years ago
Aroma includes ink, Black currant, tabacco,
30 min, concentrated. Oak and complexity. No. Actual concentration came 90 min. Feel powerful. Fruity blue and black berry. 120 min texture is also getting better.
Mid +. Elegant and powerful one
It takes time, at least one hour, two or more to decant it even in 2006 @3100, xiaduo - , 210928-211015 — 3 years ago
