100% Riesling from two different sites on granite soils in the village of Dambach La Ville, about halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar. Citrus (lemon) and minerals. Fresh, high acidity — 4 years ago
Great white burgundy, typical of a young vintage and has great potential. Grass and lemon peel, lightly Oaked, buttery, with great acidity and a nice long finish. — 6 years ago
Liquid dessert! For me, the 20 year Tawnies are the sweet spot and always a special treat. I like the 20 years because you get the intense caramel, toffee, and hazelnut, but can still taste the fruit. Grahams always makes consistent Tawnies - the style leans towards full-bodied and opulent. This batch bottled in March 2018 with 111 g/L RS. Love! NV on March 16, 2020 — 6 years ago

J aurai opté pour un grand crus de vosne type saint vivant mais pas pour un grand cru de gevrey car le vin était peu épicé 👍👍👍👍 — 7 years ago
Another tasty JSchram. While the prices keep climbing, these are very consistent US sparklers with a big house feel (vs the grower profile sparkling wines like Westborn, Haliotide, older Ultramarine, etc).
81% Pinot noir, 19% Chardonnay; 8g/l dosage
I’ve been enjoying the JSchram wines for a long time and a character I always get from them is a distinct cheesy/leesy aromatic. Roasted honey nut cashews, spiced apple, pear, and toasty vanilla. Richly balanced on the palate with honeyed tropical fruit, sea salt, and finishes slightly yeasty with a truffle note. The dosage, while on the high side for what I enjoy, brings out nice texture and length. Well made and ready to go.
I enjoy the JSchram Noir (formerly Schramsberg Reserve) on the younger side and the JSchram Blanc with a little age. — a year ago
Dynamite- toasty, tropical nose but laser focused palate- unreality and acidity carry the palate. — 5 years ago
Had it with j&l. We liked it — 6 years ago
1991 Dominus. Dinner with J&L B and D&M H, while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and decanted right before serving. Loved it. Drinking beautifully. Still had some fruit in it but well balanced and some good earthy qualities. JB and I preferred this to the ‘94 Screaming Eagle we drank afterwards. — 6 years ago
1990 Jaboulet Aine La Chapelle Hermitage Syrah. Post Thanksgiving dinner w J&L B and Ash/Sush at Tosc. We thought the bottle might have been off. No savory notes, very uni-dimensional, abrupt finish. — 7 years ago

Divine! Acidity that carries, but fully sessionable and zippy. — 6 years ago

1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 6 years ago
