We were watching a flat Jimmy Stewart/Kim Novak/Elsa Lanchester/Ernie Kovacs/Jack Lemmon film on TCM last night. (With that cast, I'm not sure how anything can be flat, but...) Fortunately for us, the wine was way less disturbing than the age difference between Stewart (b 1908) and Novak (b 1933). It had a light body, sweet, but not saccharine, a kind smile, no trace of sourness or bitterness. We served it slightly chilled. Purchased at tableWINE. — 7 years ago

Monthly WTF group. Theme this month was merlot. All wines tasted blind.
I called this Napa merlot between 2013-2015. Similar to some of the other merlots of the night, I got a dustiness to the fruit. Nicely balanced with good acidity and tannin. Definitely more red and black fruit dominant with bay leaf and a streak of licorice down the middle. I could see this going up in score a little bit over the next couple of years. Thanks @Jack Thompson — 6 years ago

Oh my goodness! We tasted this wine with Jack Edwards while in Napa last September and ordered some. Finally, tonight, have opened it and --- WOW!!!
We forgot how outstanding this wine is and wish we had ordered more! Hope no one, other than Jack, sees this review! :). Thank you, again, Jack!! B — 11 years ago
Ooooh I want to dance with this wine. It is nimble and graceful and yet structured enough to make you feel like it is a partner that will not drop you which is important if you are either going to a) attempt a lift or b) drink. Full of minerals and stone fruit with a lover’s bite of acid. It keeps you on your toes. — 6 years ago
Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965, with a goal to produce world-class sparkling wines. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. Coming off their highly successful 2012 vintage, the 2013 is also 100% Chardonnay (true B de B) straw with aromas of stone fruits and lemon notes. A terrific crisp sparkler with crisp apple, apricot and lemon flavors, fine mousse with tiny bubbles. Tangy acidity on a lingering finish ending with some yeasty notes. Nice! — 7 years ago
