With Tom yum vermicelli — 3 years ago
A wonderful full flavoured wine. It’s complexity is such that it has aromas of a fruity Sauvignon Blanc and after a sip the finish of a smooth Chardonnay. It would go with any food or just on its own. Brilliant. — 4 years ago

Mild. Honey, apple, wet stone and something else... Very relaxing. — 2 years ago
Very calm, smooth flavors. Would serve nicely for cooking, sweet dessert finish, or acidic meal counter balance for pallet cleansing. Definitely a good stand by to have available for all occasions. — 4 years ago

First nose is tight and reserved. With time, aeration and temperature, it opens up with tropical fruits: pineapple. Some herbs. So concentrated on the palate. The residual sugar (45 g/l) nicely integrates with racy acidity of Riesling. Harvested at 86° Oechsle it is then fermented with ambient yeasts to low 9% Alc. Love the style of this Kabinett: elegance and finesse. Accentuated finish. Solar vintage, indeed. Huge potential ahead.
Anna Reimann together with her husband in 2016 acquired an existing winery and 5ha of vineyards. A year later they bought Johann Peter Reinert Estate and expanded to northern Saar vineyards. This is definitely a rising star and the address to watch.

@Delectable this is the wittenger schlangengraben spätlese trocken. Lime zest and ripe orchard fruit and the least bit of confectioners sugar on the nose. Herbs and meadow flowers, without that honey or vanilla thing that comes with it. A touch of chamomile. Kumquats or limequats on the tongue. Very good, almost spicy from the citrus acid feeling. Good minerals, they dance on the palate with the acids, very alive, and I love that. Not terribly concentrated but it could go for a decade or two easily. What structure, good wine. 11%, but weightless. Bonus points for a vineyard name which is hilarious to the adolescent inside me. — 5 years ago
