Medium garnet in color; dried strawberries, lavender, and smoke on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like hibiscus, cherry jolly ranchers, crushed gravel, cloves, and a hint of eucalyptus with a long finish. I like it. Nellie says it's ok. I think I'm picking up a little Brettanomyces on the nose. Thankfully, it's not intense. — 6 months ago

Wow, this was VERY dry & razor sharp - aromatics really opened when it got up to cellar temp. Bright citrus infused minerals, rocks & shells, some florals - a lot of maritime influence tho I’m not sure where these vines are from. Very dark Ruby, purple edges with floral fruit aromas and floral spice. On the palate blueberry and sweet black cherry flavors, savory with great mouthfeel, 24 months aging on French and American oak, the 70% Monastrell and 30% Cab Sauv has fine soft tannins, well integrated with oak, long finish ending with mineral tones, Will age well! — 2 months ago

The 2023 Selección Especial Nº2 Victoria was sourced from a 1920-planted vineyard in Vélez-Málaga, Alta Axarquía, in the Sierras de Málaga. This late-harvest wine was aged seven months on the lees and bottled with 190 grams of sugar. Yellow in hue, it presents herbal aromas with peach and apricot notes and a faint hint of nard. Sweet and balanced on the palate, it offers an intense mouthfeel with a long-lasting savory finish. This is a delicate, well-crafted wine. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, September 2024)
