Quite bright ruby red , white garnet rim . Sweet cherry , floral, cedar , very fruit forward . On the palate quite fruit forward again with nice cherry and strawberry , with spiced orange peel . Sweet but quite noticeable tannin , ok acidity . Ok length , enjoyable now and over the next 10 years or so . — 5 months ago

Quite deep ruby , wide terracotta rim . Lighter and more elegant on the nose than the Starderi, porcini , lighter floral and slightly medicinal notes . On the palate rounder generous red fruits , with touch of liquorice , slightly medicinal notes . Quite sweet tannins , and refreshing acidity , good liquorice stained length. This too would benefit from a little more time 3-5 years perhaps , and will last well a further decade — 5 months ago

2020 vintage.
Timorasso is an indigenous grape from Piedmont.
7.5 hectare vineyard of 25 year old vines grown in marly, calareous, clay and sandy soil.
Stainless steel ferment followed by 8 months resting on the lees then 3 months of bottle ageing before release.
Giorgio Rivetti, owner of La Spinetta, considers Timorasso as the white Nebbiolo.
Will easily age 5-10 years.
Bright, brilliant straw gold.
Stone fruit, ripe nectarines, Acacia honey and white flowers.
Layers of flavours with tropical fruit, almonds and bergamot.
This wine dances a fine line between smooth texture, citrus, minerals and flowers. — 7 months ago

A rich and powerful Barbera with balance acidity. Oak is prominent but of high quality and well integrated, as one would expect from La Spinetta.
