What a beauty - slightly greenish yellow colored w/gorgeous aromas like citrus blossoms & white flowers, so fresh & clean, marine influence, some salinity & minerality but surprising delicate and aromatically forward. Chiseled on palate, bit silky, but nose translated palate. One of the more generous Spanish Albarinos I’ve ever had - reminded me of some riper CA offerings. — 2 years ago
Dark fruits, full bodied but soft tannins. Prominent oak but soft and well integrated. Paired great with spicy sausage rigatoni a la vodka. — 3 years ago

Flagship white by the amazing Pilar Higuero, one of Spain’s most exciting proponents of biodynamic farming and the unofficial “lideresa” (leader) of the Spanish vignerons association “Artisan Wine Attraction.” The wine is named after the traditional children’s game “a pita cega” (“blindman’s buff” in English, literally “the blind hen” in Galician language) and the tools used to clean up vineyards in this spectacular biodynamic farm: a flock of chicken (Her red wine labels, on the other hand, feature the sheep used to graze and fertilize soils). Blend of mostly Albariño, Treixadura and other indigenous varieties, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and aged on its lees for 20 months. Very expressive, complex nose with aromas of apples, white fruit, fennel, floral notes and minerals. Medium to full bodied, round, sumptuous on the palate. Lively, fresh, vibrant, good acidity. Super bright acidity, just something about how Western Europe designs white wines. So simple but so expressive. Not trying to be anything but just boldly there. — 6 years ago
Trevlig svalodlad chardonnay. Många fina lagar av doft och smak. Snärtiga äpplen, hasselnöt, torkade söta kryddor, grillad exotisk frukt, flinta. Lätt oljig textur med långt avslut med riktigt bra syra. Nästan chablislik! — 7 years ago
mtw loved! super delicate — 13 days ago
Light bodied red, raspberries, some savory notes in the finish akin to Oregon Pinot Noirs. The nose is timid, but the acids carry this. — 4 months ago

100% Pedro Ximenez from vineyards in Moriles Altos, one of the top areas within the Montilla-Moriles appellation. Vines are rooted in albariza (tosca hojaldrada) soils. Aged for an average of 3 years under flor in the solera system and bottled en rama (unfiltered). Intense nose with notes of toasted almonds and yeast. Sharp, very dry and saline on the palate. A very powerful and sapid, quite persistent wine. Umami 💣 — 5 years ago
