Drier than expected. Not a ton of tannin, but otherwise good β 8 months ago
2010. Still a baby but hits big on all the sensory buttons. Tops β 6 years ago
Gift from Simon. His friend made this wine. Insanely good. β 6 years ago
Wow. Some fruit but it has ripened into an elegant and refined Pinot. Notes of earth mixing with ripened red fruit. β 2 months ago
Still quite dark purple-red color, nose is quite closed, some mineral, iodine and black pepper aromas, red and black fruits which taste quite primary and youthful, great acid balance, structure shows in the long, lingering finish, Iβd guess 10-15 more years of further aging on this to maturity, but awfully great tonight!! β 4 months ago
Purchased at the winery on my single visit there, had gone to pick up the Syrah, and was very taken with this tiny production Mondeuse. Rich, but not heavy, rustic in some ways, but amazing βmountain fruitβ depth and great acidity which largely hides the structure and tannins, long, lingering finish, needs a fair amount of cellaring, though beautiful tonight!! β 4 months ago
2016 Sawtooth Tempranillo, Snake River Valley, Classic Fly Series. I have to say that Meredith Smith, the winemaker, did good on this one. It has all of the classic aromas of a Spanish Tempranillo. Besides the dark red fruit, it has smoke, leather, tobacco, full body, medium tannins, and is spicy on the finish, especially with food. Two thumbs up! β 6 years ago

Winderlea Vineyard & Winery β Chardonnay 2018 πβ¨
Willamette Valley, Oregon β USA πΊπΈ
This isnβt just any Chardonnay β itβs one of the finest Iβve tasted from this region in years π. Terroir-driven and crafted from a brilliant vineyard blend: Carabella in Chehalem Mountains (35%), Hyland & Meredith Mitchell in McMinnville (33% & 23%), and Winderlea Estate in Dundee Hills (9%). This mosaic of sites brings perfect harmony and depth to the glass.
Style: Burgundian elegance with an Oregon soul πΏ.
Flavor: Rich, succulent mouthfeel layered with peach π, apricot π―, bright apple π, and a gentle whisper of toast.
Mouthfeel: Well-structured & balanced β complex yet endlessly drinkable. Even now, at 2018, it still beams with lively acidity β‘ and a creamy, enticing finish.
π° a bit pricier for the region, but every sip confirms itβs worth it.
Cheers to Oregon brilliance! π₯
