Super fun to taste along with all the burgs at la paulee. Thanks @Lee Lightfoot I loved the bright fruit, acid and tarry phenolics. Unbelievable how well this has aged — 4 years ago

Wowzers this is wonderful on day 2. So many herbs to compliment the array of dark fruit. Complex, appealing and powerful at the same time. Thanks @Lee Lightfoot — 8 years ago
A lively, picnic style Pinot, refreshing and slightly sweet. Beautiful youthful colour to it, like the core of a ripe watermelon. Quite translucent, indicating the light style. The nose is earthy and a bit shy, crushed strawberries and sea air. Tart and sweet on the palate, reminiscent of something like the Two Paddocks Pinot or even a gamay with some bottle age. Quite delicious and impressive. — 8 years ago
“Woody” on the nose and taste. Like a new oak. Somewhat floral and tropical, with like a tart coconut finish. — 8 years ago
Thank you @Lee Lightfoot this wine was off the charts. Cracked pepper, pomegranate, and spice. Pure class. Pure fruit but beautiful tension. Reminds me of hermitage. Absolutely delicious — 9 years ago
Savoury McLaren Vale Shiraz. Blood orange, red plums, red berries, liquorice and paprika. — 10 years ago
Bought this as a joke because of the label. SO Good. Strong deep colour with the taste of raspberry & blueberry with a spicy lingering on the palate. Highly recommend. — 5 years ago
My buddy Ian brand coming correct. Sf chronicle wine maker of the year a few years back. Making a good name for our place Monterey. Listen to the bedrock podcast with Ian! It’s a good listen and the wine is super thoughtful. I can say im super thankful he and heather are keeping this going! Thank you heather brand for pouring and being the great host! Always gracious and kind. Ian and heather are bringing Monterey back up where it should be with the likes of Mark Chesebro (arroyo seco), tira nanza, russel Joyce and a few others. Big ups @Lee Lightfoot for letting me join you and Julie today. No doubt Carmel valley is on the rise again. Worth a visit! Contact me for appointments before summer — 5 years ago
@Lee Lightfoot pulled a gem from the cellar. The ribolla really highlights this wine. Perfect now. I wouldn't hesitate to drink this 12 year old gem. Paled in comparison to a few stalwart wines but on its own, this wine speaks volumes. Really great bottle — 8 years ago
Thank you @Lee Lightfoot this was off the hook. You really need to 'get' this wine to like it but Man I really like it. We decanted for an hour and it was still huge. Dark dark yellow / nearly orange in color. Turpentine on the Rose with reduced mandarin orange on the nose. This wine will last forever. As I'm writing this note (2 days later) I can literally taste it again in my mouth. Very memorable — 9 years ago
Sweeter with less acid but with everything this producer fritz Haag makes I found good acid to offset the sweetness. 45 years old and singing along. Not their best vineyard (in fact some in Germany call it a potatoe field) but nevertheless regal and definitely stood on its own merit. I just wish we had some fois to pair with. @Lee Lightfoot found it delightful on day 3. (From 750ml) — 4 years ago

Off the charts fantastic. Rustic and started off slightly muted but then evolved into rayas magic of lightly burnt earth, bright cranberry and gravel. What a wine! Built in body and complexity with air. Thanks @Lee Lightfoot — 5 years ago

Love it, fresh, different. Fruity. — 8 years ago
Lovely aroma — 8 years ago
Pleasantly tart, with a little dry finish. — 8 years ago
Thank you @Lee Lightfoot a stunning cab. Towering example of great cab hitting all the right spots with a 42oz ribeye. Dark blue black color. Aromas of camphor, cherry liquor, rose petals and graphite. This wine is kicking ass... it's not everyday I want a big Napa cab but with this kind of balance and class, why not? — 9 years ago
