Found this at machete. We asked for a robust red with a smooth finish and he brought out two choices. Both were good this was the best: — 5 years ago

Savory nose with baking spices. Dark fruit but not overwhelming. Transitions to spice. Earthy. Lots of character. Very nice wine. — 6 days ago
Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 3 years ago
Peachy and soft. Beautifully done — 5 years ago
Loved it. Buy again. — 6 years ago
The 15’ bottling sees Petit Verdot leading this Bordeaux blend at 32%, with 26% CS, 26% Merlot, 13% CF, and 3% Malbec.
Complex and deep nose of blackberry, cassis, fig, dry pine cone, dark soy source, butterscotch, thyme, black pepper, with hint of violet. The palate, while delicious and smooth, lacks the depth I expected. Finely grained tannins lead to a long peppery finish.

Not sure of origin. Still showing an acidic profile but kinda just ok, perhaps good for its age — 2 days ago
Plum, little bit of spiciness. Really nice wine. — 4 months ago
Definitely drink again! — 5 years ago
Spezie moltissimo pepe. Tannico. Molto. Manca di freschezza e sapidità. Molto secco. Profumo intenso di spezie. Lo trovo particolarmente intenso di spezie e manca un po' di frutto. Cmq ottimo ! Carnale e ferrico. — 6 years ago
Slight grassiness but a lot more melon and honey character. Felt more like a french Pinot Gris, but was much welcomed. So easy to drink on its own, but paired nicely with light vegetarian food as well. — 7 years ago

Oak on the nose. Fruit forward. Strawberry jam, some spiciness. Well balanced. — a day ago
