Deep ruby in color; black plums, lavender, and smoke on the nose; high acidty; high tannins; tastes like black cherries, white pepper, and wet slate with a long finish. It may be a little past its prime, but still good. — a month ago
Deep garnet, with volcanic mineralogy and black cherry on the nose. Mild tannins that provide structure supporting moderate alcohol (14%), medium acidity and some mild oak notes. Fantastically paired with tomato-based Napolian fried pizza. Aglianico is a varietal worthy of attention… — a month ago
Wonderful wine - 2016. It didn’t take as long to breathe as I thought it would. — 2 months ago
This time around was better! Some fruit and pleasant tannins — 6 months ago
In Little Italy in San Diego, and pairing this Calabrese grape - Magliocco - with Calabrese food. Wonderful. Full bodied, soft tannins. — 7 months ago

Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — 5 days ago
