First taste!? Mature with a bit of bricking but still nice solid color and bouquet of mature red fruits and earth. Velvety and enticing on palate. Excellent with Evan’s Shanghainese pork belly. 51/43/4/2 Merlot/Cab/CabFranc/Petit Verdot on label from Bernard Magrez touting same attention as his Pape Clement, and long history dating back to 1120. Importer label says 37/55/6/2 instead! (Oldest in Medoc, 1400 by house of Foix loyal to King of England. 1486 Camet new owner. 1500s by Michel de Montaigne.) — a month ago
This wine has shed its new worldish baby fat and is now a classic haut medoc with graphite on the nose, plums and blueberries. Smoke, cedar and dried leaves. Good acidity and a lingering finish. — 3 months ago
Medoc blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Dark garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, baking spices and cedar. The palate is also full of dark berry fruit along with notes of minerals and vanilla. Nicely integrated oak on the long lasting finish. Medium-plus body and very fine tannins. Fresh tasting and rich. Thanks for the bottle, Kase! — 8 months ago

You’ll definitely want to decant this wine. Well over an hour after opening in the glass the initial dusty #bordeaux muted fruit wakes up fully, very youthful bramble fruit, purple jam on the nose. Mouthwatering acidity and generally soft tannins from the Merlot dominant blend with some more assertive tannins on the finish. 68% #merlot, 17% #cabernetsauvignon, 13% #petitverdot, 2% #cabernetfranc - clearly I got the impression this wine could easily cruise for another 5 years in the bottle. Excellent #costcowines value. — 13 days ago
